Lead Sage X3 implementations and improvements for clients across the GCC, from workshops and process design through to go-live and beyond. You will work closely with RFR's integration, development and AI teams on projects that go well past standard configuration.

As a Sage X3 Functional Consultant in our Consulting team, you will own the functional side of client projects: understanding how a business runs, designing how Sage X3 should support it, configuring the system and getting users confident on it. Our clients are spread across the GCC and beyond, mostly in distribution, manufacturing and services.

Much of our work sits around the ERP rather than only inside it. Projects often include integrations with e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, CRMs, payroll, banks, e-invoicing and warehouse apps, plus custom modules and applied AI such as forecasting and document processing. You will write the functional specifications for that work and work alongside our developers to deliver it, and with our support and hosting teams once clients are live.

What you will do

Run discovery sessions and workshops with clients to understand their processes and requirements
Design functional solutions in Sage X3 and document them in clear process maps and functional specifications
Configure Sage X3 modules such as finance, purchasing, sales, inventory and manufacturing
Write specifications for integrations, custom development and data-driven features, and work with our technical team to deliver them
Plan and run data migration, testing and user acceptance with clients
Train key users and prepare practical user documentation
Support clients through go-live and hand over cleanly to our support desk, stepping in on complex functional issues
Act as the main functional contact on your projects and keep scope and expectations clear

What you will bring

Around 5 years of hands-on Sage X3 functional consulting experience
Delivered at least two full Sage X3 implementations, ideally covering the full project cycle
Strong working knowledge of Sage X3 distribution and finance modules
Good understanding of business processes such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and inventory control
Ability to turn business requirements into clear functional specifications developers can build from
Confident communicating with finance, operations and senior stakeholders in English, verbally and in writing
Comfortable working remotely with clients and colleagues across the GCC, with occasional on-site visits

Nice to have

Experience with Sage X3 manufacturing: BOMs, routings, work orders and costing
Working knowledge of SQL for queries, reporting and data checks
Familiarity with 4GL, Sage X3 web services or integration projects
Experience with GCC VAT and e-invoicing requirements
